Nissan Provides Automatic Emergency Braking For 7 Popular Car Models
Nissan has announced all 2018 model year Sentra, Altima, Maxima, Rogue & Rogue Sport, Murano, Pathfinder, and LEAF cars will have Automatic Emergency Braking as standard. Exceptions to this upgrade are models with manual transmission and NISMO spec trims. The radar based technology will give drivers a warning if a collision is imminent or slow the car down to a full stop to avoid an incident altogether. According to Nissan quoting the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, systems like AEB can reduce injury insurance claims by 35%.
Nissan says their 2018 lineup will have more than double the amount of cars with AEB as standard, affecting over 1 million cars in total. Nissan will also offer AEB on some of the 2018 Armada trims as well.
