Out Now: Forza Motorsport 7 Demo
Turn 10 Studios is now launching a free playable demo of Forza Motorsport 7 for Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One consoles. The game supports 4k resolution and sports 4k in game video footage, over 700 cars with Forzavista (fully modeled interior, engine bay, and trunk), and big name automotive personalities doing voiceovers. Some of the names include Jonny Lieberman, Ken Block, Pat Long, Ralph Gilles, Tanner Foust, and Magnus Walker.
Forza 7 requirements recommend at least an i5 4460 or AMD FX-8350 CPU with an Nvidia 670, Nvidia 1050 Ti or AMD RX 550 GPU for 60 fps @ 1080p. If you want to go with a playable fps at quadruple the resolution you'd need at least an Nvidia GTX 1080 or AMD RX Vega 64.
So far the reception to the demo has been mixed. PC users report poor wheel support and inconsistent performance (stuttering) while some say it runs flawlessly with no drops in frame rate. Both kinds of users say they have similar PC setups. There's also comments regarding the short length of the demo, though that's to be expected in demos these days. In any case, there's no harm trying.
